Complete an internship with an international organization to differentiate your resume, earn essential skills that employers value, and grow your professional network with the API Global Internship program. Full-time internships will require a commitment of 32 hours a week.
API’s global internship programming will support your success and engage you in activities designed to refine specific skills, our on-site staff will orient you to the international workplace culture, and guide you through in-person and virtual cultural workshops as well as local visits. Capstone your experience by earning a digital badge that you can add to your LinkedIn profile, e-portfolio, personal websites, digital resumes and more.
*Participants who complete their internship in Spanish (in a Spanish-speaking country) may opt to earn academic credit (3 US semester credits) through Universidad de Congreso for an additional fee of $600. In order to receive credit in Spanish for the internship, participants must: 1) be interning in a Spanish-speaking country; 2) be completing the internship 100% in Spanish; 3) have taken at least 2 Spanish classes at the 300 level or above, or demonstrate written and oral proficiency at the equivalent level.
API has also partnered with Nichols College to offer academic credit for some API Global Internship programs (conducted in English) for an additional fee of $750. Students will receive an official Nichols College transcript at the conclusion of the program. Nichols College may require a minimum enrollment of students in order to award academic credit.
8, 10 and 12-week API interns participate in 2-3 excursions. Cultural events may also be available alongside study abroad students. Availability may vary and participants are given the full excursion schedule prior to arrival on-site.
Potrerillos is a district in Mendoza province in western Argentina. It's set in the Andean foothills, within the Luján de Cuyo wine region, known for the Malbec grape variety. The Mendoza River, with its whitewater rapids, winds along the eastern edge of Potrerillos town. It runs into the huge, trout-filled Potrerillos Dam, which is ringed by trails.
Termas de Cacheuta is located only 30 km from downtown Mendoza the middle of the mountains. This excursion allows to have a break in your stay and get a very relaxing experience.
The Andes Range Mountains is one of the most spectacular landscape that Mendoza has. You will be astonished by its magnificent view. This activity introduces you to the native fauna and flora, and experience incredible mountain views.
Nearly two-thirds of all the wine produced in Argentina comes from the province of Mendoza. Students will have the opportunity to visit a local winery and learn how the wine is produced.
CREDIT OPTIONS - Up to 6 semester credits available on some internship programs for an additional fee.

Health Research Internship
This internship takes place at a graduate college dedicated to research, training, and extension programs in several fields of social sciences. The intern will work on a project that aims to analyze regional public health policies. The intern may assist the project leader in research activities, help organize an international conference, and assist with translating project documents and papers.NGO InternshipThis internship takes place at an NGO specializing in policy-oriented research in Argentina and Latin America. Internship duties include developing proposals and building strategies with partners in order to influence government policy.
Social Services Internship
This internship is at an NGO that develops social programs for helping needy residents (particularly women and children). It provides food, housing, educational and artistic activities. The intern may help participate in workshops about domestic violence, women’s empowerment, or fine art workshops pertaining to theater and literature.
Looking for a truly unique internship experience? Look no farther than Mendoza, one of Argentina's most important wine regions. The wineries chosen for the students are small producers in terms of quantity, so this situation allows our students to be part of several processes into within the winery from wine produce to the touristic aspects. Experience a piece of the process that brings nearly two-thirds of Argentina's total wine production to market!

What better way to prepare for your future career than participating in an international internship in Mendoza's hotels? Experience firsthand how international brands bring their business to this unique, Argentinian culture. Internship placements in Mendoza in this sector allow students to see the human resources policies in action and to train in the hospitality services.
Jump onboard this exciting opportunity to work alongside an NGO in one of Argentina's most important industries—the wine industry! Engage with local organizations on a number of strategic projects dedicated to develop wine tourism throughout Argentina.
All API internship programs include safe and secure housing in the cost of the program fee. Housing types and amenities will vary by location. Participants in Mendoza will have the opportunity of living with a host family.
Internship participants should expect the accommodation to be centrally located and easily accessible to public transportation. Each participant’s commute will vary, as internship placements are located in different areas in each location. Average commute times range from 30 minutes up to an hour. Participants will receive their confirmed housing assignment approximately three weeks prior to departure.
