Built on the land of two former estates, the city of Viña del Mar, Chile began in the late 1800s and has grown to become a popular destination for Chileans, Argentines and other tourists from around the world. Often called the “Garden City”, it is known for its beautiful beaches and its active student population. It is a safe and relaxed city where visiting students can study Spanish language and Chilean culture with stunning views as a backdrop to the academic and cultural experience.
API offers students the opportunity to study abroad in Viña del Mar at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI). Enrolling approximately 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students, it offers degrees in business, the liberal arts and humanities, engineering, law and the social sciences. The university offers courses designed for international students in both Spanish and English, as well as options to directly enroll in courses with local Chilean students. Students will enjoy the UAI campus in Viña del Mar with its extensive amenities and impressive modern architecture.
“I never felt alone in Chile and that was a result of API giving us the right tools and leading us in the right direction."
API students in Viña del Mar have the opportunity to give back to their local community through various volunteer projects, including volunteering at youth non-profit organizations, working with young children, helping out at homeless shelters, contribute to environmental projects, and participating in mural painting and city beautification projects.
