Chile Viña Del Mar Church Hero

Built on the land of two former estates, the city of Viña del Mar, Chile began in the late 1800s and has grown to become a popular destination for Chileans, Argentines and other tourists from around the world. Often called the “Garden City”, it was once known primarily for its beautiful beaches. Viña del Mar is also known as a university town. It is a safe and relaxed city where visiting students can study Spanish language and Chilean culture.

API offers students the opportunity to study abroad in Viña del Mar at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI). UAI is a private university that was founded in 1988, building upon the academic tradition started by the Escuela de Negocios de Valparaíso in 1953. Enrolling approximately 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students, it offers degrees in business, the liberal arts and humanities, engineering, law and the social sciences. The university offers courses designed for international students in both Spanish and English, as well as options to directly enroll in courses with local Chilean students. Students will enjoy the UAI campus in Viña del Mar with its extensive amenities and impressive modern architecture.

“I never felt alone in Chile and that was a result of API giving us the right tool sand leading us in the right direction."
