Courses

PLACEMENT INFORMATION

Positions are available in both private and public schools in areas all around the country. Full-time position (35-40 hours per week).

Highlights
  • Guaranteed paid position
  • 5-month or 10-month commitment
  • Dates: May/June-September and/or October-March
  • 20-25 hours/week teaching, plus additional time on related tasks (lesson planning, grading, etc.)
  • Local salary paid to teacher = roughly 28,000 THB/month (teachers with BA in Education qualify for increased salary)
  • TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certification* (minimum 120 hours) – 30,000 THB per month
  • Placements located throughout Thailand, often in smaller cities or towns rather than large cities
  • Teaching commitment of 10 months (starting in May) receive 20,000 Baht airfare bonus

Faculty

Accommodation of local standards will be provided to every participant; this may be a studio apartment, school dorm or shared house. In some cases, schools will give the participant rent money (on top of their monthly salary) to pay their landlord directly. Utilities (electricity, water, internet) are the participant’s own responsibility. Any housing deposit for an apartment will be participant’s responsibility.

Application deadlines are at least 12 weeks prior to the program start date.

The prices below are for the 5-month option. For those interested in the 10-month option, an additional $170 will be added.

*participants are responsible for expenses up front and will be reimbursed by their schools upon completion of their work contracts.

**June one-semester participants should expect to be fully responsible for their visa costs.

End of Contract Bonus
All participants who commit to a two-semester contract will receive a completion bonus of 20,000 THB. This bonus will be subject to a performance review by their school.

*This bonus is only for participants who commit to two semesters prior to receiving a placement and does not apply to those who come for one semester then extend in-country.
