Going on a study or intern abroad program with a group of friends is fun for sure, but did you know it’s also more safe? While students will always have API’s onsite staff and Student Success teams to support them, as well as a cohort of other API students, you can add an additional layer of safety and security by traveling with your friends from your home university! And API wants to support you by giving friend groups a discount for Spring 2027 sessions. Here’s how it works:
- Apply to any open 2027 API Spring program and bring up to 5 friends.
- Each friend you bring allows you to get a $200 discount for up to $1,000.
- Each friend you bring also gets $200 off their program.

Ready to Claim Your Discount?
Securing your Bring a Friend discount is easy! Simply:
- Apply for any API Spring 2027 program before the deadline.
- Complete this Google form with the names of your friends. Make sure they have all also applied for the same program!
That’s it! The discount will be added to your account.
