API Policy on
Curated Experiences
All curated experience selections are subject to availability and are therefore not guaranteed. Curated experiences may additionally be subject to enrollment minimums and local conditions at the time of the excursion. All API excursions are contracted and paid for in advance of the excursion. Upon submission of the API application or selection of the excursion, as applicable, API will commit to the excursion on the Participant’s behalf. Therefore, a Participant is not permitted to change their selection. If, however, the excursion is canceled or modified by API, Participants will be notified as soon as practical and will be entitled to a full refund if canceled or a partial refund for the price difference, if any, between the originally scheduled excursion and the modified excursion.
Students who request participation in an excursion that is at capacity will be placed on a waitlist. In the event a spot becomes available then the student will be notified and invoiced on a first come first serve basis. The student then must accept the opportunity by making prompt payment. In the event payment is not made within 48 hours of being invoiced, then the spot will be forfeited and API will offer the opportunity to the next student on the waitlist.
For curated experiences which are not within the Program region, unless otherwise provided in the excursion description, Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel and API is therefore not responsible for any losses resulting from travel issues.
In all other circumstances, curated experiences are nonrefundable unless otherwise provided in the specific excursion listing or if cancellation is due to class scheduling conflicts not known at the time of the excursion selection.
