API Safety Update – England, Portugal, Colombia

June 19, 2017

We would like to provide a brief safety update following incidents abroad that occurred this weekend in several locations where API operates programs.

API Portugal students and staff are safe and accounted for, and are not in the vicinity of the devastating forest fires in central Portugal that have resulted in more than 60 casualties.

API London students and staff are safe and accounted for, following an incident late last night wherein a van hit a crowd near a London mosque.

API does not currently have any teachers working in Bogotá, Colombia, where an explosion at a popular mall resulted in multiple casualties.

Our thoughts are with the injured, and with the families and friends of the victims of all of these incidents.
