API Safety Update – Incident in Southern France

March 23, 2018

API is aware of the incident that took place today in and around the town of Trèbes in southern France. News reports indicate that a gunman shot several people before taking hostages in a supermarket. The incident has been contained, and local police reportedly killed the gunman.

API’s Caen and Grenoble students are currently participating in excursions to other parts of the country, and no API Paris students have reported plans to travel to the vicinity of the incident. As such, we have no reason to believe that our students were directly affected by this situation.

We will provide updates should the situation warrant.
