Buenos Aires is rich in history (did you know it was founded TWICE?) and is also one of API’s biggest Latin America destinations. This morning we’re highlighting the Humanities and Social Sciences program at Universidad Torcuato di Tella!
Humanities and Social Sciences Program
This program allows students to take 12-16 semester credits. Some course examples include journalism, marketing, conflict studies, social justice and more.
While some professors teach in Spanish, many also teach in English. Because of this, API offers two “tracks” for this program. Students more comfortable with coursework in English will select Track 1. Track 2 offers students the opportunity to complete all coursework with Argentine students in Spanish. They can also select from a limited number of courses taught in Spanish but designed for visiting international students.
Early Start Option
API also offers an early start option for students. This option begins with a four-week, intensive Spanish language and Argentine culture course (equivalent to four U.S. semester credits). This course helps visiting international students review grammatical concepts, perfect their writing and gain a more in-depth view of Argentine life and culture.
More about UTDT
Students can expect a small-campus feel with small to moderate class sizes. Because UTDT is an AMBA accredited business campus, students can feel assured they’re receiving a quality education experience in Buenos Aires. AMBA accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. Only the best programs receive the honor!
International Excursions
All of API’s programs in Buenos Aires include an international excursion to Colonia, Uruguay! In addition, our Resident Directors Carmen and Jimena take students to beautiful Tigre and Estancia. Students can also plan a visit to the bucket list-worthy Iguazu Falls!
Volunteer Add-On Option
Students who wish to spend more time in beautiful Buenos Aires can take part in an API volunteer add-on! These opportunities take place 2-4 weeks before or after the semester. Volunteers can choose from placements in child care, teaching/tutoring, social justice, coaching, medical and more! Read one student’s experience with a volunteer add-on here.
Other Buenos Aires programs
Not interested in the Humanities and Social Sciences program but still want to study abroad in Buenos Aires? API has you covered! We also offer an Argentine & Latin American Studies program and an Intensive Language Program at the Universidad de Belgrano. In addition, we offer a Multidisciplinary Studies & Community Engagement Program at the Universidad del Salvador.
