API is accepting applications through April 15th for service-learning in Costa Rica. Students have the brilliant opportunity to learn by doing and by reflecting on their work, all the while contributing to the long-term and strategic goals of a community partner abroad. Project areas involve working with children in varied social aid projects.
Students divide their time between volunteering at least 25 hours/week at local projects and completing online coursework for a total of 3 credits. Both the Summer 1 and Summer 2 program sessions begin on May 26th, and the program price includes housing with a local host family, on-site airport reception and orientation, cultural activities, international medical and life insurance coverage, 24/7 emergency support, and other services.
