Terms and Conditions for the API Promotion:

Bring a Friend

The API Bring a Friend Promotion’s qualifying terms include: 

  1. Students must apply for a 2025 API Spring Semester, Spring Quarter, or January term program between November 11, 2024 and December 20, 2024. A full list of eligible programs is listed below. 
  2. Students must also complete the Bring a Friend form indicating which friends are going on the program between November 11, 2024 and December 20, 2024.
  3. Students who applied for a 2025 API Spring Semester, Spring Quarter, or Jan Term program prior to November 11, 2024 are not eligible to enter or receive this promotional discount. 

In addition:

  • This discount does not apply to customized/faculty-led programs. 
  • The discount is given in increments:
    • $300 for bringing one friend (both students receive a $300 discount). 
    • $500 for bringing 2 friends (all 3 students receive a $500 discount)
    • $750 for bringing 3 or more friends (all students in the friend group receive a $750 discount).
  • This promotional discount can not be combined with any other API-funded scholarship.
  • In order to be eligible to participate in the Bring a Friend promotion, you must satisfy all of the conditions of participation set forth in the applicable program (including, but not limited to, applying for, being accepted into, paying for and fully participating in an API program). 
  • The Bring a Friend discount is inapplicable for any other API program or timeframe other than as expressly included in the Bring a Friend terms set forth above. 
  • Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. 
  • API reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend the Bring a Friend discount  
  • By submitting the Bring a Friend form and providing your friend’s name, email and telephone number, you confirm that you have obtained their consent to share this information with API.
  • By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless API from and against any and all claims of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the Bring a Friend discount. 
  • By offering the foregoing program, API does not represent or warrant that travel to any particular area is without risk, and API is not liable for damages or losses that may result from travel to any particular destination.  
  •  In the event you fail to fully satisfy your eligibility obligations for the Bring a Friend discount, then you agree to reimburse API for its direct costs pursuant to the Bring a Friend discount.
