Program Spotlight: Volunteer in Argentina- Making the right fit for you and the community

June 20, 2017

API offers diverse opportunities for individuals of all ages and skillsets to exchange ideas, thoughts, and energy in projects that aim to tackle the social issues faced by many communities in and around the city of Buenos Aires. The opportunities are endless, just tell us about your interests and background and we’ll guide you towards your placement as a volunteer in Argentina.

Is your background in…

Economy, business or commerce?

Contribute to the entrepreneurial success of members of marginalized communities. Accompany professionals who train and empower entrepreneurs in informal settlements by providing tools for business management and granting Microcredits

Education?

Contribute your skills to non-formal education programs where children learn through play. This organization provides spaces where children can develop, explore, and exercise their potential while acquiring the necessary tools to be able to integrate into society.

Research, design and non-profit administration?

Use your analytical skills by surveying, assessing and evaluating the state and needs of community populations. Or work towards improving the level of efficiency and effectiveness of the host organization by evaluating design processes, procedures, and systems for simplification.

 Communication?

Your skills in photography, journalism, design, community management and marketing are indispensable in communicating the host organizations’ commitment to community and its strategies for achieving their mission.

There are also opportunities for those who are interested in contributing in areas of youth development, training, construction, health, food security and elderly well-being. Although strong language skills are greatly beneficial, your program manager can work with you to find a perfect fit for you, even with a basic level of Spanish.
