Amazing course options for health students

For the first two weeks of this program, you can choose to enroll in 1-2 courses: The first is an Introduction to Health Systems course that focuses on the meaning and importance of health systems for all.  The course encourages you to think critically about different models of health systems, especially in regards to equity and justice. Coursework is centered around considering how citizens are positioned with varying degrees of power to access healthcare and to participate in health policy and decision-making.

The second course option is Critical Appraisal of Research for Healthcare. This course introduces you to different types of research evidence. Join other health students to explore the relationship between clinical questions, research designs and methods. Expect to take on a real life health project such as a clinical audit, systematic review or clinical trials methodology.

From there, you can choose to say on for an additional 5 ECTS of Critical Appraisal of Research for Healthcare or you can enroll in Introduction to Statistics.

Explore more of Ireland with API

Included in your program cost are several amazing excursions and cultural activities! Students will travel across Ireland to visit a variety of places, including a local working farm to experience some truly Irish cultural experiences: bog jumping, bread baking, even Ceildh Dancing! We’ll also visit Howth and Malahide Castle, a gorgeous historical castle nestled in an Irish seaside town.

By far a student favorite in Dublin is our GAA Experience. Join the rest of your API friends and attend an educational and interactive experience of Irish traditional sports!
